This spring is the blade return spring and connects to the shaft on the outside of the cutter yoke (M7-2-2). These springs are the heart of the mechanical unit and are responsible for both driving and cutting the tape. This allows for the blade to snap back into position and cut the tape on the Phoenix manual dispensers (M1, M2).
